Congratulations to Sherle Cresswell for winning April, May, June Caregiver of the Quarter

When we hired Sherle two years ago, one of her references said that she was “kind, funny, patient, trustworthy, and always putting other people first.” Now that we have gotten to know Sherle we couldn’t agree more. Sherle has come through for Senior Helpers and our clients so many times. 

Sherle is always willing to work an extra shift and never leaves a job undone. In her two years with us she has never called out without notice and has never said no to a shift that matched her availability. Thank you Sherle for truly living our philosophy of taking care of our clients. 

Sherle’s first experience as a caregiver was with her own Mother. She realized how much she liked helping others in this capacity and started working as a caregiver professionally. She now has over ten years of experience and has helped many, many families. Her favorite memory as a caregiver is when she worked with a woman who beat cancer! 

Sherle has been married for 59 years and lives with her husband in Ventura. They have 2 daughters, 1 son, 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 2 birds and 1 cat. Some of you may remember the cat, Princess. Sherle adopted Princess after our client moved into an Assisted Living Facility. Just another example of Sherle’s caring and giving personality!

Caregiver of the Quarter goes Monthly

A Caregiver of the Quarter just wasn’t enough to recognize all of the great things our team is doing - so we are changing to Caregiver of the Month! 

The Caregiver of the Month exemplifies extraordinary commitment to clients and their families. They are responsible, reliable employees who show compassion, empathy and respect in the delivery of care to clients and families. 

Caregivers will be eligible to win Caregiver of the Month one time per year. Caregivers who won Caregiver of the Quarter prior to this year are eligible to win Caregiver of the Month this year. Must be current on all training and expirations and have worked for Senior Helpers over 6 months to win. 

The winner receives a $50 gift card and is added to our wall of winners in the office. Check the Newsletter each month to see who has won!

Liah’s Back from Vacation

Liah was in Mexico for 3 weeks to enjoy some time at the beach and visit family in her hometown of Ejutla. Her favorite memory from the beach was seeing her kids have such an amazing time and playing Beach Volleyball! The food was amazing, her favorites were between the Chilaquiles, Tamales, Chicharrones, and Ceviche. 

We are glad she and her family had this time together, and boy are we glad to have her back in the office!

Welcome to the new members of our team. 

Martha began caregiving over 30 years ago! She has worked with a variety of clients through agencies and privately. When not working, she likes to travel and go to the movies! We are happy to have her on our team. 

Carolyn began her caregiving career as a CNA! She enjoys creating relationships with her clients and 

feeling helpful. Thank you Carolyn for joining our team, and helping our clients feel cared for! 

Gloria is an experienced caregiver, formerly working with seniors and those with mental illnesses. She enjoys learning new things and hearing the stories of the people she works with. Welcome to the team Gloria, we are excited to have you!
