Happy Holidays

Dear Reader,

It feels like it went by in the blink of an eye to many of us, but the end of 2021 is already here! We have enjoyed spending this year with all of you, as we have gotten back to a "new normal." Although whose to say what's normal, and if we'll ever find it again! What we do know is being able to maintain and grow our business has been an absolute blessing. It has certainly been a challenge to keep up with rising costs, staffing shortages, COVID regulations, and life in general, but it has been an invigorating challenge. We remain 110% dedicated to being the best In Home Care company in Santa Barbara!

We have many exciting things in store for 2022. We will be rolling out a new, evidence backed method for performing assessments and re-assessments. Life Profile is a tool that takes the guesswork out of scheduling and care plan creation. It is a structured assessment tool that will allow us to identify risks in a whole new way. Our Director of Client Services Liah Ramirez and Client Service Coordinator Emalee Kourani have been training on the system and are excited to bring this new tool to our community. We can't wait to share more with you.

Caregiver of the Month - Congratulations Elvira Moreno De Luna 

Elvira is one of those caregivers who can do it all! She has experience with any kind of care tasks, from managing, to catheters, to Dementia care, to whipping up healthy and delicious meals in the kitchen. Her superb skillset has been honed to perfection in her 20 years as a caregiver.

Elvira has been with her current clients, David and Kathy Corbett for two years. Impressively, she has had full day shifts every Saturday and Sunday for the whole two years. She is incredibly reliable and never calls in sick. One of Elvira's strengths is making sure David and Kathy's needs are met first, and then keeping busy around with the house with projects or baking. David will be the first to tell you what a great baker Elvira is! Here he is pictured with one of Elvira's recent creations.

Elvira lives in Goleta with her son and Grandson. She loves to bake, spend time with her family, and has a green thumb.

New Caregivers! 

Say hello to the newest faces of Senior Helpers! 

Ana has been a caregiver for over 25 years! She is compassionate and enjoys caring for others. She's always willing to take on something new and do her best. Welcome to the team Ana! 

Alex is a student at UC Santa Barbara! She is in her last year as a Global Studies major and will be pursuing Nursing. Through family, she has been involved in helping with hospice and companion care. She looks forward to working with our clients and we are excited to see her at work! 

Landry is also a student at UC Santa Barbara! She is a third year, studying Chemistry and is on the dance team . She has experience caregiving through her family, helping with personal and companion care. She enjoys working with people and is excited to be at work with us!
